Multistakeholder Approaches to Participation in AI Governance (MAP-AI)
Objective: To develop AI governance policy proposals informed by regional priorities from Latin America, Africa, and Asia. Data Privacy Brasil serves as a regional partner for Latin America.

Description
Our work involves co-leading a Global Governance Working Group with global stakeholders to develop concrete policy proposals for AI governance. Through monthly meetings, we aim to synthesize proposals to be presented at the second UN Global Dialogue on AI Governance and the Geneva AI Summit, taking place in May and June 2027, respectively.
Additionally, we will coordinate a separate series of meetings with partners from Latin America to map the region’s demands and priorities regarding AI governance. In addition to virtual meetings, two in-person gatherings are planned, one of which will be held at the Data Privacy Global Conference.
The entire initiative will culminate in a report containing policy recommendations that synthesize insights, regional evidence, legislative proposals, and priorities for global AI governance.
