Ph.D. in Commercial Law and master’s in civil law from the University of São Paulo Law School. He was a study visitor for the Department of Personal Data Protection of the European Data Protection Board/EDPB and the Council of Europe, and a visiting researcher at the Centre for Law, Technology, and Society at the University of Ottawa Law School. He is the author of the book “Proteção de Dados Pessoais: a função e os limites do consentimento” (Personal Data Protection: the role and limits of consent). He is a member of the Latin American Network of Studies on Surveillance, Technology and Society/LAVITS, and also of the International Association of Privacy Professionals – IAPP, with a CIPP/E Certification. He is the founder and director of Data Privacy Brasil, an intersection space between a school of courses and a research association in the area of privacy and data protection.
