Researcher and full professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, she coordinates MediaLab.UFRJ and is a researcher at CNPq. A founding member of the Latin American Network for Studies in Surveillance, Technology, and Society/LAVITS, she worked as a visiting researcher at Sciences Po (Paris, 2011) and at the Department of Digital Humanities at King’s College (London, 2019). She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Surveillance Studies Network, the Tierra Común network, and the Feminist Coalition <A+> Alliance for Inclusive Algorithms. Her published works include the following books: “Máquinas de ver, formas de ser: alerta, tecnologia e subjetividade” (Sulina, 2013) and “Tecnopolíticas da Vigilância: perspectivas da margem” (2018, Boitempo).
