Founder and Director of Instituto Toriba, a non-profit organization that promotes futures literacy, immersive planning, futures design, and new narratives for social and environmental transformation. Graciela is a journalist and holds a master’s degree in Communication and Culture from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Between 2013 and 2021, she served as Program Director at the Ford Foundation, where she developed strategies and grant portfolios in the areas of Technology and Society, Creativity and Freedom of Expression, and Promotion of Civic Space. She is a member of the board of directors of Oxfam Brasil, IDEC (Brazilian Institute for Consumer Protection), the Colombian organization Manos Visibles, and the global board of directors of More in Common. Graciela is also a member of the advisory boards of Agência Pública de Jornalismo Investigativo, Silo – Arte e Latitude Rural, Instituto Sacatar, and Tilt Collective. She is a co-founder of the BRICS Arts Association.
