Silvana Bahia is Co-Executive Director of Olabi, a leading Brazilian organization dedicated to democratizing technology and innovation. She holds a Master’s degree in Culture and Territorialities from Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF) and is an associate researcher with the Art and Artificial Intelligence Group at Universidade de São Paulo (USP). She is also the editor of Can a Robot Be Racist?, published by Museu do Amanhã.

An Ashoka Fellow and columnist for Fast Company Brasil, she was recognized by the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee (CGI.br) with the Internet Governance Highlights Award. Her work focuses on advancing technology that is more diverse, inclusive, and committed to human rights. Since July 2026, she has served on the Advisory Board of Data Privacy Brasil.
